Light and shadows in Washington, D.C.

It’s been a while since I’ve participated in the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge.  I couldn’t resist this week’s challenge:  Shadowed.  I wish I could tell you which building in Washington, D.C. this is, but I’ve forgotten and can’t find any hints in the pictures I took.

Growing as tall as the trees in the woods.

No matter how hard you fight the darkness, every light casts a shadow, and the closer you get to the light, the darker that shadow becomes.

Yesterday I was out in the woods taking photos of light and shadow, following the sunlight out to the dock so I could watch the sunset.
