Will not be going up because I’ve been switched to the new editor and have no idea how to use it. I don’t have time right now to learn it. If anyone knows if or how I can get back the old editor, please let me know. Thanks.
Ok… I have figured out how to get to the Classic Editor. Yay!! Will post the official Walktober post later today, if all goes well.

Robin is... too many things to list, but here is a start: an artist and writer; a photographer and saunterer; a daughter and sister and granddaughter; a friend, a partner, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother; a gardener, a great and imaginative cook, and the creator of wonderful sandwiches.

My computer geek husband is looking into it. I will let you know if he finds a way to return to the old editor.

Thank you! 🙂 Too much change this year. I don’t know if I have the patience for this.

I have figured out a way to get to it. It takes more steps, but at least I’ll be able to get the Walktober post up. After that… who knows?

Hi Robin, I know what you mean about the New Editor. I finally figured out how to get back to the Classic Editor, which I’m still using. On the plus sign on the new blog post, click on it and in the search box, put “Classic.” Click on Classic. Then you’ll get the tool bar for the Classic Editor. The Add Media icon on that tool bar is the one with the musical notes and camera. I don’t plan on using the new block editing because I’m taking at least a year off from blogging starting December 16, so this is all I intend to learn for now! 🙂

Thanks, Cathy! I figured out how to get to the Classic by saving it as a draft. Whether or not I can repeat that, I don’t know. I should have written it down.
A year off actually sounds pretty good right about now. I didn’t realize you were planning that (because I haven’t been keeping up… will be remedying that very soon).

Good, I’m glad you’ve got it figured out. It would be nice to learn to use the actual blocks, but as I have a short-timer attitude, I don’t feel like bothering. 🙂

I got into the New Editor shenanigans last month. At first didn’t like it at all, but now really do. It sounds like most people don’t. I like just clicking the + button and choosing between paragraph and image. It feels simpler. But a lot of people–maybe you too–are more into visual details, so sending you some good luck!

Thank you, Kathy. It’s just been one of those days when the smallest thing feels like it’s breaking me. I’ll get through it. I am icon challenged. I don’t understand what the pictures mean and that requires me to click on every dang thing until I figure it all out. Ah well. Change is life, life is change.

Yes. Or start a post in Block, sav it and when you go back to your draft, you can choose classic…

Or where you see ‘Add New’ (Post), there should be a small arrow beside it, indicating a hidden drop down menu. Click on the arrow to get to the Classic Editor option.

Hi Robin. I came across this link that might be useful – https://beckybofwinchester.com/2020/05/30/block-editor-advice/
I haven’t tried the new editor yet, so will see if I can follow the advice on this link and make it work for me tomorrow. 🙂
