On the way

On the way to the dock.
On the way to the dock.

We go where we need to go, and then try to figure out what we’re doing there.

~ Jeff Greenwald

Honeysuckle.
Honeysuckle.

On the way to the dock, you must go through the woods.  On the way to the dock, and in the woods, your nose will pick up the scent of honeysuckle before your eyes will see it.

On a rainy day.
On a rainy day.

On the way to the dock, you might stop to admire so many things along the way that you don’t make it out to the dock on this particular day.  That’s okay.  We’ll try again tomorrow.

Be good, be kind, be loving.  Just Be.  🙂

This post is in response to the Word Press Photo Challenge On the Way.  Here are a few more images you can look at while you’re on the way to wherever you’re going next:

    1. You’re welcome, WG. And thank you. 🙂 Yes, I’ve been swimming a few times over the past few weeks. The rain and cooler weather has kept me out of the water for the last 2-3 days. We’ve had a lot of rain here, too, and it’s still coming down.

  1. The first honeysuckle picture looks like ballerinas posed as the curtain rises. Beautiful image.
Pine Gully Trail has lots of honeysuckle back in the woods along the way – they are always the trumpets of summer’s arrival.

  2. I saw the honeysuckle in your first photo, off to the right, and thought she’s got honeysuckle! Then it was all about honeysuckle! Isn’t that an amazing smell? And up close those petal look like finely carved wood…
