I take pleasure in my transformations. I look quiet and consistent, but few know how many women there are in me.

Today’s December Reflections prompt is 5 Things About Me. Since the objective is to answer the prompt in one photo, I gathered together a few things that I think represent me in some way. I could leave the interpretation up to you, but that hardly seems fair since the idea is to tell you something about myself. If you’ve been visiting me here for a while, you probably won’t be surprised by the items I picked. And there might be more than five things going on here if you tweak the interpretations a bit (the Swedish death cleaning book, for instance, might tell you something). Yoga and meditation (the rolled up green mat that is propping up the other stuff), photography (the camera, of course), reading (the books), walking (the shoes), and writing (the journal and pen) are all as much a part of me and my life as my nose or the color of my hair (which is currently platinum blonde with low lights of purple and blue, for those inquiring minds who might want to know).
Thank you for stopping by today. Hello and a big welcome to my new visitors and followers who came over from Dale’s place. Please forgive me if it takes me a little while to return your visits and answer comments. This time of year (and this year in general) is crazy-busy with travel to see family and/or friends, and with visitors traveling here to the ranch to spend time with us. I’m sure it’s that way for many of you, too, especially over the holidays.
It’s been cloudy all day, but let’s meet out at the dock for sunset. It might clear up, as it tends to do in the evening. Sunset is scheduled for 4:44 PM. It is cold today so be sure to bundle up. There is a small craft advisory in effect which means it will be windy and the wind really cuts through clothing (and sometimes down to the bone) on cold days.
Be good, be kind, be loving. Just Be. 🙂
A few of the 10,000 reasons to be happy: 956) Aiming high with ambitious projects. I don’t always reach the top of that aim, but I am lifted up by the attempt. 957) The golds and browns of late autumn. 958) A beautiful Great Blue Heron gracing us with her presence in the pond this morning. It’s chilly today and she had her feathers all fluffed out in an attempt to stay warmer. (Birds fluff up during cold weather to trap warm air from their body heat under their feathers. This also helps to keep their internal organs warm.) 959) Meeting new people and potentially making new friends. 960) Finally getting the minutes typed up from the last meeting of our new anti-litter team (soon to be affiliated with Keep America Beautiful). I am not particularly fond of taking care of the minutes. My note-taking is bad and my memory is worse. I’m hoping that once we get our structure and bylaws established, someone else will step up to be secretary for the group. (Fingers crossed and double crossed!)
For those who want to play along, here are the prompts:
