Morning view

Solar energy.

In the morning, wonder and be generous like the sun. In the evening, meditate and be kind like the moon.

~ Debasish Mridha

Last night’s Blue Moon.

The first photo is in response to Susannah Conway’s April Love 2018 prompt for today:Β  Morning View.Β  I couldn’t resist adding the second image after finding the quote about the sun and the moon, morning and evening.

Robin is a photographer, artist, writer, yoga teacher, sometime poet, wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, friend, and occasional traveler currently living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She shares her daily walks and meanders, a lot of quotes, some of her artwork, and a lot of her photography here on Ye Olde Blogge. Older posts can be found at Life in the Bogs, her previous blog. Robin and her husband are (still!) in the midst of renovating the house and cleaning up the property they refer to as the Wabi-Sabi Ranch, 35 acres that include marsh, a dock on a tidal creek, meadows, and woodlands. Every day brings new discoveries.

  1. I love these, particularly the top one. I always think that photos of windows in which one can see both reflections from inside and views outside are like a kind of time travel. The black and white somehow adds to the mystery.

  2. I love these photos, Robin–and of course, morning and night! πŸ™‚
In the moon photo, I suppose maybe it’s the top of trees, but it looks like things growing on the moon, and the moon looks so alive.

    1. Thank you, Skip. πŸ™‚ I had planned to catch the sunrise for my morning view, but slept too late to catch it. The sunlight streaming in the kitchen window worked out just as well.
