Thanks for the update! How interesting that you’re traveling by train. What a unique way to travel. My daughter and I did that in Europe several years back and found it enjoyable in many ways. Some ways not as much… Have fun, Robin.

Have a great trip! I love the postcard!
We have a friends who live just across the river from Harrisburg. I once took the train from Harrisburg to Philadelphia, but I’ve never taken a train for a longer distance.

Have a wonderful time with family! I know you’re enjoying the train travel. I need to investigate that more. I wonder where I could go….would be a new and interesting thing. I’ve done the train from Detroit to Chicago…and from Windsor to Stratford in Canada…and I think we did a train from Port Huron to Toronto many many years ago. But down the east coast would be fun. Even more fun to take it way out west. Hmmmmmmm….

Been there, done that! My husband grew up in Altoona and I taught kdg. there for a year. We have made many visits to the Horseshoe Curve. It’s definitely worth a visit. However, they now charge to hike up to the Curve and enjoy the fabulous view when we used to walk up for free. Riding alongside the Susquehanna past Harrisburg is beautiful. My first real job-at a summer camp for children with disabilities-was quite near there, and I went to Girl Scout camp on an island in the Susquehanna. Wonderful memories!
