Not quite wordless Wednesday

Laughing Gulls

It is officially spring here on the Eastern Shore.  The Laughing Gulls have returned.  And boy, are they a noisy bunch!  (You can listen to them here.  It’s a video I took two years ago from the same field.)

  1. The gulls – and ducks are cavorting pretty wildly and happily here, too. (Almost had a fast flying cardinal on a mission crash into me this morning on dog walk)
There’s nothing louder and more happy than a flock of gulls flapping around (but not over) you.
    Nice pictures

    1. Gotta watch out for those birds on spring missions, PhilosopherMouse. I nearly had a run-in with one, too.
Thank you. 🙂 And so true about the birds being over me. What a mess that can be!

    1. Oh, Canada Geese are downright quiet compared to this group, Eliza. lol! Even the video doesn’t express how noisy they can be, or the layers of noise they make when they’re making different sounds. It’s almost otherworldly at times. 🙂
