An autumn breeze
blows through the woods
and into the marsh.
Leaves, whose time has come
to let go, sail gently down
and come to rest on the forest floor.
Robin is a photographer, artist, writer, wife, sometime poet, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, friend, and occasional traveler currently living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She finished a 365 commitment to get outside every day in 2011, and has turned it into a lifelong commitment taking one or more walks each day. Robin will continue to share her walks through her words and images on Breezes at Dawn. Older posts can be found at Life in the Bogs, her previous blog.
Robin and her husband are in the midst of renovating the house and property they refer to as the Wabi-Sabi Ranch, 35 acres that include marsh, a dock on a tidal creek, meadows, and woodlands. Every day brings new discoveries.

Beautiful poem and photo, Robin.
I posted a Walktober post. I included a link to your post. Let me know if I need to do something else.
Thank you, Merril. 🙂 I’m glad you’re participating. I didn’t see this until just now or I would have included you with Frank in today’s post about it. (I’ll go change that in a bit.)
I don’t usually post poetry on this blog. I have other blogs for that since I’m a little shy about it. But it’s been the kind of week when I needed some poetry.
It is, Joanne. 🙂 The colors are just beginning to peak. I was hoping to go hiking at one of the local parks today, but will have to do my Walktober walk here since the cats are sick.
I’ll do that, Joanne. 🙂 They both seem better this morning. I might even be able to reunite them soon although I think they are each enjoying being Queen of Her Domain (and being spoiled rotten! lol!).
Comments are delightful and always appreciated. I will respond when I can (life is keeping me busy!), and/or come around to visit you at your place soon. Thank you! Cancel reply

The poetry thing just seems to be happening. It’s just how the words are coming out these days. 🙂

It must be beautiful there now, with all of the autumn leaves fluttering to the ground. 🙂

Darn. I forgot about the Walktober. It’s raining today. I might not get it in until tomorrow……

If you need more time, Dawn, go ahead and take it. I’m going to be late doing the wrap-up. 🙂
