Life just seems so full of connections.  Most of the time we don’t even pay attention to the depth of life.  We only see flat surfaces.

The first time I saw a hummingbird moth was in Colorado.  I’d never seen anything like it before, and up until today, I hadn’t seen anything like it since.  I was out in the scrounger’s garden this afternoon doing a bit of weeding, and heard the humming.  I thought it was a hummingbird until I stood at the zinnias and watched.  There are several of them out there, and it was a delight to see them.

The reason this is not a typical Silent Sunday post is because I want to express my gratitude to all who left such kind notes yesterday with offers of prayers and wishes and thoughts and good energy.  My family member, who was discovered unconscious and at one point had to be on a ventilator, is now doing much better.  This person is now awake, removed from the ventilator, and responding appropriately to questions.

Of course it was a disappointment to have to skip some of the activities planned for the weekend, but it occurred to me yesterday evening that sometimes things really do happen for a reason.  The set of circumstances being what they were may have been the reason for a better outcome.

We were lucky on many fronts although we had to give up a few things along the way.  This evening we’ll resume what we had planned from this point onward, and I am ever so grateful that we can do that.

Thank you again.  Your thoughts, prayers, and energy are appreciated.  And now, I’m off to have some fun.  I’ll see you again in a few days or next weekend or… well, I don’t know.  When the time is right, I suppose.
