Robin is a photographer, artist, writer, wife, sometime poet, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, friend, and occasional traveler currently living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She finished a 365 commitment to get outside every day in 2011, and has turned it into a lifelong commitment taking one or more walks each day. Robin will continue to share her walks through her words and images on Breezes at Dawn. Older posts can be found at Life in the Bogs, her previous blog. Robin and her husband are in the midst of renovating the house and property they refer to as the Wabi-Sabi Ranch, 35 acres that include marsh, a dock on a tidal creek, meadows, and woodlands. Every day brings new discoveries.

    1. Thank you, Bearyweather. 🙂 It’s from the swimming pool. We were filling the ladder with water (to weight it), and the water was pushing the air out and there were bubbles everywhere. This picture was taken the split second after one of the bubbles popped, causing the ripples and that little indentation in the center.

    1. Thank you, CM. 🙂 The banner picture is from yesterday’s post (I didn’t get around to changing it today), and it did make a fabulous dinner. It also helped me get rid of some cucumbers. We’re in a cucumber glut here (hence yesterday’s post about cucumbers and pickles).

  1. Ripples on the web! I’m hot and tired and smiling! If I lean my head over sideways with my mouth opened, will you drop in some bites of that salad up there in your header?!

        1. Oh no, Elisa! Not at all. We have a bounty of food here (the garden has been rewarding us for our hard work), and even if we didn’t, I would share. Want some homemade pickles? There’s also a cucumber salad with a cilantro-lime dressing. It’s very spicy so if you don’t like spicy, you should pass on that one.

Comments are delightful and always appreciated. I will respond when I can (life is keeping me busy!), and/or come around to visit you at your place soon. Thank you!
