Challenges

A wintry clue

Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.

Another clue for the third letter in my word.

You know what they say about the best laid plans?  Well, my plan for Karma’s photo hunt has gone awry.  I have to finish it today or wait until next week.  Time, which was moving at a nice pace, suddenly decided to speed up.

I also have a few challenges going on in life.  Nothing serious, mind you.  Just enough to be somewhat stressful, and to make it necessary for me to take a break from blogging for a couple of days.  There’s good news in there, too.  I’m going to see some friends, enjoy a musical, and visit some museums.  I thought I could get my posts scheduled for my time away, but it’s not gonna happen.

Now that I’ve given you four images for the third letter, all photos of the same thing from different angles, let’s move along to the fourth letter, shall we?

Last, but not least, a clue or two for the fifth letter:

It's in the bokeh and on the cards.
It’s in the bokeh and on the cards.  It is a symbol for the holiday the cards celebrate.

Or there is this, perfect for a day at the beach:

February 2014C 011a

Time to put it all together and see what it spells…

That wasn’t difficult at all, was it?  It’s my word for the year.  It’s a very good word for me to have right now.  Comforting, in a way.

Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.

~ Rabindranath Tagore

Heron would have made a nice clue for the last letter, too.

Thank you for playing along.  Sorry I had to rush things.  I felt that was better than not finishing at all, something likely to happen if I put it off until next week.  And thank you for all your visits, comments, likes, etc.  Pardon me for not keeping up as well as I should.  I’m in an unexpected state of overwhelm right now, but hopefully things will settle down soon.

  1. Faith is good Robin, and I have faith that you’ll be recharging those internal batteries, and feel on top of the World. All work and no play, makes for a dulled Pen, 🙂 so I shall go and take a breather outside methinks. See you soon. Happy New Trails, always. xPenx

    1. Thank you, Christine. 🙂 It’s difficult to catch the heron. He’s very skittish. I always feel lucky when I can manage to snap off one picture, but he gifted me with two this time around.

  2. Ha! I actually had your word with the third letter (before I scrolled down to the other ones) 🙂
A break from blogging isn’t so bad. I hope you enjoy your time with your friends and we will see you when you get back 🙂

  3. I was confused for a second there – I kept thinking “water” instead of “ice” for the third letter! Then I read the fourth and fifth clues and went back and figured it out, lol. I’m so glad you enjoyed playing along with the photo hunt! I’ve enjoyed your posts this week. You always take the photo hunts over the top in a most beautiful way. I hope whatever has got you overwhelmed is taken care of quickly and you have a wonderful time during your time away from the computer, it sounds like a great time.

  4. Yes! I enjoyed the photo hunt, even though my brain took a few of the clues to actually figure out what it was supposed to do… Moving fries the mental faculties! This is just further proof. 😉
