  1. WOW….just wow. I have never seen that many in a flight together. By the time they get up here they are nesting and in pairs pretty much. Though there are LOTS of pairs in our swamps. That was amazing!

    1. Thank you, Pen. 🙂 Do you have Red-Winged Blackbirds over there? I’ve seen them traveling with the European Starlings. When the two groups get together, there are hundreds of them. It’s amazing.

  3. What great pictures! Lucky you to get such a nice close up shot. I’ve seen those great groupings of blackbirds and it is so cool to see, but I’ve never gotten as close as these shots.

  5. Breathtaking! I saw hundreds of crows in the trees near our new house the other day, but seeing the flashes of red and yellow in your photos has me feeling pretty envious now…
