Beauty found

I seek truth and beauty in the transparency of an autumn leaf, in the perfect form of a seashell on the beach, in the curve of a woman’s back, in the texture of an ancient tree trunk, but also in the elusive forms of reality.

On the shore at Chincoteague

Today is a catch-up day for me.  I’m catching up on blogs, catching up on doing the back-up for my photos, catching up on some correspondence, and just generally catching up.  I don’t think I’ll actually get caught up, but at least I won’t feel so far behind.

Since it is a catch-up day, I’m going to keep this short.  Thank you so much for stopping by today, and stepping back in time with me to a warmer day.  The photos were taken a week ago when M and I spent some time on Chincoteague Island.  I hope your Monday has been as delightful as a Monday can be.

It’s warm on the Eastern Shore today (50°F as I type).  Meet me on the woodland trail and we’ll walk out to the dock to see how the thaw is going.  We’ll also see if there is any grass seed left on the woodland trail.  We put some bird seed out there in hopes of distracting the birds from the grass seed.  Any bets on whether or not it worked?

Let's stand here for a moment, breathing in the salt air, and listening to the waves come to shore to greet us.

Be good, be kind, be loving.  Just Be.  🙂

  1. Hi Robin! I am also catching up. Is it really 50? You are a lucky woman. In the midwest now it is 0 degrees and that is without windchill. It’s terrible. It’s going to be 35 below tonight with the windchill I heard. Ack!

Anyway, I hope you are well!

  2. 50 degrees??!! Wow, it was warmer there than it was here!
Beautiful photos, I especially like the ones of the seashells. I had some fun myself recently, photographing the ones I brought back from Florida.
