Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf.
~ Rabindranath Tagore
Ahhhh. Spring is here. Sunshine, warmth, and dewy mornings. The spiders are spinning webs in the meadows. The birds are trying to chase me away from their nests. The turtles are sunbathing at the edges of the pond, and the frogs are leaping into the water with a loud “EEEEEP!” whenever I approach.
It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.
~ Rainer Maria Rilke
This morning was particularly lovely with the sunlight sparkling on the dew in the meadows and on the small leaves on the trees.
M the Younger and Mere left a little while ago. It was wonderful to spend time with them again, and they were a great help with our moving project. We didn’t do a lot of packing, but did get some things done that required more strength than M and I can put together on our own.
On Friday we will get the official schedule for our move. For some reason I thought we had another two weeks. My timing is all off. No matter. Things will get done. They always do.
While out on my walk this morning, I once again experienced a sense of sadness at leaving. It was a momentary feeling, and one easily resolved with the reminder that family will be living here, and we will be visiting them from time to time.
In fact, it just now occurs to me that in some ways this move will make the Bogs all the more interesting. Walking the paths on a daily basis, I often miss some of the changes that occur no matter how mindful I think I’m being. But when we go away for a while, everything looks different.
Posts from me will be sporadic from here on out. I did prepare a couple of posts during the early days of our decision to move, thinking I might post them while we’re in transit, so to speak. I’ll have to read over them again, and see if it’s worth the bother.
Some of the posts may be a bit personal as they were written while I was feeling anxious about the decision and the move itself.
Anxiety’s like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it doesn’t get you very far.
~ Jodi Picoult
That’s about it from the Bogs for today. Thank you for visiting, and joining me on another walk around Breezy Acres.
Have a delightful day, evening, night… whenever and wherever you are on the spectrum of time. 🙂
I sat down and tried to rest. I could not; though I had been on foot all day, I could not now repose an instant; I was too much excited. A phase of my life was closing tonight, a new one opening tomorrow: impossible to slumber in the interval; I must watch feverishly while the change was being accomplished.
~ Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
Ohhhh….”branching out”…just like you’re doing. I’m so happy for you and M. It sounds like such a wonderfully positive and inspiring move!

What cute little turtle “pets” you have there! Breezy Acres is giving you the most spectacular spring show, so you will have the most beautiful images of the property until the next time you meet. I can imagine that the quote from Jane Eyre just about sums up the way you are feeling just now. Take deep breaths, it will all come together. 🙂

You are right, things do look differently after you leave. All these pictures are little jewels to carry along – to shore up memories and delight as you revisit them.
Our turtles ar sunning in the favorite spots, too.
Love the header pix, the spiderweb – and the beauty in the woods – just magic caught!

A bit wistful, even knowing that family will be there, and that the move is a good thing…
Fingers crossed for a seamless transition 🙂
