Welcome to my new blog home, Breezes at Dawn. You may be wondering why I picked the name Breezes at Dawn, and didn’t go with another Life in the Bogs theme. It’s simple, really. This blog already existed with this name. I originally intended to use it to share my year of meditation practice, but I quickly discovered how difficult it is to put things learned through meditation into words that truly express what I experienced.
The few posts I wrote when I started this blog are still available. I may go back and delete or privatize them later. For now, it seems like they belong here so I’ve let them be.
The name, Breezes at Dawn, comes from a Rumi poem. You may have noticed part of the poem in the header. If you visit A Tiny About, you’ll find the short, but longer, explanation along with the poem. It is one of my favorite Rumi poems although I have to admit it’s difficult to pick a favorite.
Please make yourself at home. I hope you find it as comfortable here as you did at Life in the Bogs. I changed themes, but the look is similar to my old blog home. There are some new pages, including my Blogroll. Which reminds me… if you are a regular visitor and you don’t see your blog on my blogroll, please drop me a note about it in the comments so I can add you to it.
As for content, I plan to continue taking my daily walks and sharing those with you in the same way I have in the past. I hope it doesn’t become too dull.
There will be a lot of new adventures, and new places to explore. We have all gotten to know the area around the pond here at Breezy Acres so well that I think it’s time to branch out, but we’ll still have days by the pond, and in the woods and meadows.
The photos for this post were taken on 09 March when we had a good scattering and twinkling of frost and sunlight. I took so many that I haven’t yet had a chance to sort through them all.
I like not only to be loved, but also to be told that I am loved. I am not sure if you are of the same mind. But the realm of silence is large enough beyond the grave. This is the world of light and speech, and I shall take leave to tell you that you are very dear.
~ George Eliot
And so you all are, my friends and visitors, very dear. Thank you so much for joining me here in my new blog home. I hope we continue to share many magical adventures together.
Be good, be kind, be loving. Just be. 🙂
Join me in the pure atmosphere of gratitude
For life.~ Hafiz of Shiraz
Welcome to your new site, Robin. I hope it proves as successful and lovely and enriching and inspirational as your last one. I am sure it will!

Have you decided what will be different about this than your other blog (which you could have just renamed BTW – doesn’t change the URL though).

It won’t be much different at all, Nancy. I wanted a complete change, including the URL. Plus I was running out of media space and prefer not to link to an external source such as Flickr because they have a limit on space as well if you don’t have a pro account. (I currently do have a pro account, but that could change someday.) Change is good. 🙂

It occurs to me that what I wrote doesn’t make sense. lol! I wanted a complete change in terms of URL and title. I’ve never really liked the URL for Life in the Bogs since it didn’t match the title of the blog, and didn’t want to title it “Bogs of Ohio.”

I, too, love the quotes (and have on occasion, ‘borrowed’ one). I’m sure you will continue to instill your posts with the infinite magic of nature as you always have. I hope your new adventure in your old blogging home proves to be the perfect mix for you.

Thank you, Cathy. 🙂 I’m not sure I’ll post a lot about my meditation practice although I’m sure it will spill through in my regular posts. That said, I do have an idea about Monday Meditative Walks.

I like new beginnings, Robin, doesn’t mean we disliked how the old path was worn, or how our footprints fitted just right , it’s the fact that we get used to ‘seeing’ something and it fades into the background… appreciation is the key … and our minds need stimulating and feeding or they stagnate… So, I’ve come to be fed…. 😉 any coffee and biccies about at this House warming?… warm hugs to you and yours… xPenx
(’tis nearly British Summer Time where we put our clocks forward an hour, a mark of the finer weather to come,… and today…it’s snowing… Brrrr!!)

Plenty of coffee (and hot tea), Pen, and how about some freshly baked apple muffins? It’s snowing here too! Winter can’t last forever, can it?

Apologies for not coming here sooner. Its really hard to keep up with blogging and work. Sigh…

Thank you, Rosie. 🙂 No apologies necessary. I know how hard it is to keep up, especially if you’re working. I post too much, anyhow. Knowing I’ll be slowing down (or stopping) in a few weeks has me posting like a maniac lately.
